Are you ready for some narrative medicine? Before we enter the darkest time of the year, before we encounter absurd familial patterns, before we celebrate holidays that we truly do not understand, let’s all swallow a hypnotic pain killer. Curated by Lily Benson, this selection of films and expanded cinema is a cure-all for your ailments, including that ever pesky fear of death.
A Reiki Performance and Installation by: Angel Favorite
A Mass Hypnosis by: The Divine Feminine School of Hypnosis*
Cinema C.O.B.R.A. was founded by artists Lily Benson (US) and Helene Nymann (DK) who, in an attempt to awaken the spirit of the C.O.B.R.A. movement, set out to free video art from its often stale surroundings, liberating it from blank walls and institutions. They seek to expand the potential for moving images to transmit a deeper understanding of time and space.
Cinema C.O.B.R.A. hosts screening programs in unexpected locations, where carefully selected films speculate on topics such as: animalism, hypersensitivity, the body in times of change, otherworldly adventures etc. Once in a while, Cinema C.O.B.R.A. unleashes and wanders the streets illuminating everything and everyone, where-ever a projector may reach!
*The Divine Feminine School of Hypnosis participants include Lily Benson, Shauna Cummins, Matthew Devine, Sam Foley, Niki Jackson, Ana Cruz Kayne, Louise Mittleman, Chandni Purswani
